"The power of wildlife photography lies not only in conveying the beauty and grandeur of nature, but also in bringing the world's attention to some of the greatest harms and threats it faces."
Dereck and Beverly Joubert speaking to When Worlds Collide
Patricia is a wildlife photographer and filmmaker based in Toronto, Canada.
“As creators and photographers, we have a critical role to play. We are witnesses, horn blowers, advocates, fundraisers and storytellers. By creating meaningful images, we move, educate and inspire others into action.”
While engaged in wildlife rescue, Patricia quickly learned that every animal in a rescue is the product of human interference. As habitats continue to dwindle, non-human beings are struggling to survive. Patricia’s work shines a light on those caught in the crosshairs. She is determined to speak for the most vulnerable non-human beings and give agency to the causes which drive her.
Patricia has used her photographic and film-making talents to assist many animal and conservation efforts: The Mad Dog Initiative (Madagascar), Hope for Wildlife, Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary, Great Lakes Cormorants, FLAP and many more.
Patricia also created the award winning film, WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE . Today, Patricia is a contributing member to WeAnimals.org. You can view her work at bioGraphic, City of Glass.
