The Sacred Monkeys of Ghana
About
The critically endangered White-thighed Colobus was once found across West Africa. But in a small 4 1/2 km square forest in Ghana, between the villages of Boabeng and Faema, the White-thighed Colobus, (along with the Mona Monkey) has been protected by a sacred law.
But with pressure from the neighbouring subsistence farming, and loss of traditional spiritual values, the White-thighed Colobus survival is under siege.
